We’ll have to apologise, for we’re a little ahead of ourselves and have already made it to number 20 via our facebook page. However, just so you don’t miss out, we’ve decided to offer a short recap on these 20 things to do…

365 Things to do in Wagga # 1 – Wagga Wagga Multicultural Street Festival
Enjoy a cultural feast at the Wagga Wagga Multicultural Street Festival this Saturday November 12. With an abundance of colourful markets and street food, amusement rides, dancing and singing, juggling and even a magician, there’ll be plenty to keep you entertained. Just head to the Civic Centre (outside) and Baylis and Fitzmaurice Streets between 12 – 5pm.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 2 – Art on the Levee
Appreciate the creative talents of our many local artists with ‘Art on the Levee’ tomorrow, Saturday November 12. Located on the Levee banks between the Visitor Info Centre and the ARCC Hall, Tarcutta Street, Arts on the Levee is managed by the Wagga Wagga Art Society and is held every second Saturday of the month (weather permitting) giving you the opportunity to buy some of these stunning masterpieces.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 3 – Australian Pen Museum
If pens are your thing, or you one day find yourself wondering about the evolution of writing implements within society, then the Australian Pen museum is for you. Australia’s first and only museum dedicated to the preservation and display of writing implements and associated items, is located on Fernleigh Road and is full of interesting facts and figures to keep you entertained. At just $3 entry, it’s a cost effective and interesting way to spend your time.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 4 – CSU Bachelor of Arts graduate exhibition
This week is your last chance to catch the Charles Sturt Uni Bachelor of Arts (photography) graduate exhibition, showcasing at the Links Gallery. Finishing on Sunday November 20, the f4 exhibit presents an innovative and exciting range of large-scale and immersive images, demonstrating the diversity of skills and depth of talent these students have developed through their studies. Entry is from 6pm and is free.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 5 – Christmas at the Marketplace
It’s Christmas at the Marketplace! Santa will be taking a break from the North Pole to come and visit all the good little girls and boys tomorrow, Thursday November 17, and will be bringing his reindeers with him. Join in the Christmas cheer from 3pm for a great family event with loads of festive fun.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 6 – Breaking Dawn (Part 1)
Team Edward or team Jacob? Either or, if you’ve fallen onto the Twilight band wagon, then tonight is the night for you, with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part 1) making its debut appearance at Forum 6. If on the other hand, you couldn’t think of anything worse, then tonight might be a good night to stay in.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 7 – Overdale twilight christmas markets
With the festive season well upon us, enjoy a family evening out at the Overdale Twilight Christmas Markets tomorrow night, Saturday November 19. Located at Roseleigh Manor on Patterson’s Rd Harefield from 3.30pm – 7.30pm, there’ll be an abundance of stalls and entertainment for the kids, including a jumping castle, pony rides, merry go round and an animal petting farm. Plus, the jolly old man in red himself will be making an appearance.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 8 – Eunonyhareenyha winery
Eunonyhareenyha winery – try pronouncing that one with a glass or two under your belt – is situated out on Oura Road, in the beautiful Euonony Valley. Family owned and operated, you’re sure to receive a warm welcome. Open daily from 10.30am to 4pm, or by appointment for large groups and buses, this one is a definite must-see of the area.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 9 – Mick’s Bakehouse
Ever tried a lasagne flavoured pie? Maybe a spicy Mexican pie? Or even a chicken and camembert pie? If not, then now’s the time to expand your palette. Head on down to Mick’s Bakehouse on Baylis Street for a delectable range of award-winning pies. With their vast range to choose from, there’s sure to be a pie to suit even the fussiest of diners.

Suit up and get your mates together for the annual ‘Mates Day Out’ races at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club tomorrow Friday November 25, 2011. Gates open from 12 noon with entry costing just $10 per person. Children under 18 not permitted on the premises unless in the company of a responsible adult.

The annual TriWagga Triathlon Festival starts tomorrow Saturday November 26, and although it’s too late to enter, it’s certainly not too late to enjoy an action packed weekend, including the massive twilight finish line party on the shoreline of Lake Albert.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 12 – Karaoke at the Farrah
Everyone loves belting out a tune to their favourite song. What better way to do it than with karaoke! Make your way to the William Farrah Hotel tonight from 8.30pm for some good old fashioned singing. And if you’re lacking courage, there’s a bevy of bevies to choose from to help you relax.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 13 – Christmas party race day
This Saturday December 3, is the MTC’s Christmas Party Race Day. With free entertainment for the kids, special giveaways and even an appearance from Santa, it’s a day of fun to be had by all. Gates open at 11.30am, with entry costing just $10 per person. Note: All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 14 – Twilight by the lagoon
No plans for tonight? Why not head on down to the Lagoon for ‘Twilight by the Lagoon’. Free for all, entertainment kicks off from 7pm and will feature local talent Anna Pritchard, Damien Lodge, Geoff Simpson and friends. So bring your rug and some snacks for an easy Friday night of entertainment. *Note may be cancelled if bad weather occurs.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 15 – Summer series of orienteering
Do you have a good sense of direction? Or have what it takes to navigate in any terrain? Then the WaggaRoos Summer Series of Orienteering might be just the thing to test your abilities. This series combines road running and orienteering through Wagga’s streets and parks, starting between 6pm – 6.45pm. 365 Things to do in Wagga # 16 – CSU wine tasting
If you like wine, have a spare 15 minutes and want to contribute to a CSU research project then this free wine tasting is for you. In addition to your tasting, you’ll do a short survey and receive a free movie ticket (Wagga cinema) for your time. It’s not often the moon eclipses the sun, so don’t miss your chance to see it tomorrow night, Saturday December 10, from about 10.46pm. For a gold coin donation you can watch it in style at the Wagga Wagga Observatory from 9pm – 1am. Why not make a night of it.

Learn how soap is made with a visit to the Gourmet Soap Kitchen located on Forsyth Street. Open Monday – Friday from 9am – 5.30pm there’s a wide selection of products on offer, including cupcakes. Cupcakes made purely of soap that is. Maybe your curious about the process, maybe you’re looking for a special gift for Christmas, whatever the reason, there’s plenty to see at the Gourmet Soap Kitchen.

Visit the shores of Apex Park, Lake Albert this Saturday, December 17 from 9am – 3pm and you’ll find yourself surrounded by a myriad of stalls offering a diverse range of arts and crafts, hand-made gifts, local produce and even a jumping castle for the kids. For a great family day out, be sure to visit ‘Markets by the Lake’.

365 Things to do in Wagga # 20 – Wagga’s greatest athlete challenge
Ever find yourself wondering who Wagga’s greatest athlete is? Well, this Saturday December 17 your question will be answered. Fifteen of our athletes, including Brad Kahlefeldt (international triathlete), Matt Suckling (Hawthorn Hawks AFL) and Kyle McCarthy (local rugby league star), will compete in ten challenges, showcasing endurance, power and speed, to determine who is the most well-rounded athlete.
